  1. Kia ora Betty,

Congratulations on completing your very first activity for this years Summer Learning Journey. I have been overwhelmed with the number of students that have started the programme so far. I am very excited to see your journey over the summer.

You have shared 3 very interesting facts with your fellow bloggers. I was fascinated that one must swear an oath of loyalty to Queen Elizabeth to receive your New Zealand citizenship. This is such a traditional process within a ceremony like this which I didn't expect to still be continued. Why do you think this is still an important part of a citizenship ceremony?

Maybe next time you could include an introduction at the start of the blog to the activity. You could reword the question, include the week in the title or add an explanation to your answer. This will help any visitors to your blog site understand what activities you are doing and that you are participating in the Summer Learning Journey.

I am so excited to more of your posts over the Summer Learning Journey. Thank you so much for starting the programme today.

I hope you are enjoying your holidays,
    Megan
