This is my tapa cloth. I used brown paper to make it, I also had to make a pattern that showed reflection, rotation, translation and symmetry. It took me about a week to make.

Instructions on how to make a Enlargement Image
A3 Paper
- Pre Scaled Paper
- 1x HB Pencil
- Rubber
- Ruler (30cm)
- Sharpie or Vivid
- Paints
- Egg Carton or Paint Tray
- Fine brushes

Instructions
- 1. Measure the squares on the scaled paper
2. Double the measurements horizontally and vertically
3. Measure the paper (Portfolio)along every 4cm.
Make sure you measure at zero mark on your ruler.
Make sure it is right up against the edge of the A3 paper.

4. Skip count every 4cm across and repeat 6 to 8 times.
5. Skip count in 6’s: 6, 12, 18, 24,30, 36 vertically
6. Line the ruler vertically up so it intercepts through the plotted marks
7. Rule the marks vertically, so you should have at least 7 lines down the page.
8. Turn the page to landscape.
9. Measure the paper horizontally every 6cm and mark with a pencil, skip count
along the ruler 6,12,18,24,30,36. Do this along all the vertical lines. Repeat 6-8 times.

10. Join the marks together and now you have just made your gridlines.
11. To draw the hair start at coordinate 4,1.
12: Keep on following the squares like co-ordinates.
13: Rub out the squares.
14: Go over it with sharpie or vivid.
15: Start to paint your Wonder Woman.
16: Let it dry and start to paint your background
17. After you draw your background you might need to outline your
Wonder Woman again
18: Glue your Wonder Woman to the black paper and then you're done .
You have just made a SUPERHERO ENLARGEMENT.

Super Hero Reflection
Enlargement SuperHero Art
What did you accomplish?
Trying to draw Wonder Woman by following the grid lines and by making accurate measurements.
Are you satisfied with your Super Hero enlargement? Why / Why not?
I’m pleased with my work because I tried hard to follow the grid lines to draw the body of Wonder Woman
What did you find easy when you created your SuperHero enlargement?
I found drawing the legs the easiest because they were faded in
What did you find challenging when you were creating your SuperHero enlargement?
I found drawing the hair and face challenging because I had to follow the grid lines for the hair which was really difficult.
What do you need to work on?
The face and hands because they were really hard to follow on the grid
What would you change with your Super Hero enlargement?
The face because she looks like she’s evil.
What would you do next time to improve Super Hero Enlarged picture?
I would want to improve on the face of my Wonder Woman because she looks really angry.

Symmetry Art
This is my symmetry art. I found it easy to colour in the segments. I found tracing the pattern on the paper challenging because the cardboard paper kept moving a lot. Next time I will change the colours so that they contrast and stand out more. I'm most proud my pattern that I created.

Aboriginal Art
Making a sequential pattern - Aboriginal Art

1. Are you pleased with your artwork? Why / why not? I am pleased with my snake because of the colours and patterns I have used..
2. What was challenging when you did your sequential pattern artwork?
It was nearly the end of the term and I didn’t have that much time to do it because I was sick.
3. What could you adapt / modify with your artwork?
I would change the colour of my background and perhaps change the animal to a kangaroo.
4. Who / what helped you with your sequential pattern artwork?
Miss Paton’s Algebra page on the hub site helped me gather ideas on sequential patterns.
5. If you were to teach a new person how to create your artwork under your theme (Aboriginal Art) what would be the teaching points / tips?
Draft the animal in your book first
Take your time with the dotting process
Do one area at a time to avoid smudging
6. What have you learnt about this process?
To use a small amount of paint at the end of my paint brush so that I have more control.
